Best Christmas Nail Polishes

As the days go by, Christmas gets closer and closer, and isn’t it hard to believe it’s TWO WEEKS from today? I really can’t! I’m excited for Christmas because I’m going skiing! Not in Florida, obviously, but I am going out to the Northwest!

Of course, if you’re lucky enough not to have your hands covered up by gloves all the time, you want some super cute nails! If you want some super cool nail designs for your nails, however, that is not my specialty and you’re probably better off hitting up Pinterest for some super cute nail designs. But, if you want to know some of the best colors and nail polishes, this post is the post for you!

I try to use nail polishes from a variety of brands, and my favorite brand has probably got to be OPI. But in this post I do feature nail polishes from a variety of brands, including Sally Hansen, Hard Candy, and Elf.

The Hard Candy nail polish is a bright sparkly green, that may look yellow when you first apply it, but it's actually a sort of lime green color. This is the color "636 Teeny Greeny". Then there's the Elf nail polish, in the color "Golden Goddess." This color is more of something you put over another color, so this would probably look the best on top of white nails. The Sally Hansen  Hard as Nails is a very vibrant red color with some sparkle in it, and it's probably my favorite out of the four. (for Christmas at least) It's in the shade 470 "Unbreakable Heart," and I really like how powerful this name is. The final one is Nicole OPI, and it's actually part of the Modern Family Collection that OPI released. It's in the color "A Phil's Paradise." This color is my go to color because it's silver and because of the cooler undertones in my skin, this looks really nice on me. So if you have cool undertones, I recommend this nail polish.

Here are some swatches of the nail polish.

I wasn't able to find the exact replica of the red one, but it's a very classic red so I just linked to a similar color by OPI.

Hope you've enjoyed this post and have some ideas for some great nail colors! What are your favorite holiday nail colors?

OOTD: Denim and Leggings

Well hello, happy Thursday to you all. I have an ootd for you all today, and this is actually from Thanksgiving, but when I took these pictures, I didn’t have my camera cord at my dad’s house, and I didn’t end up going to my mom’s house until Sunday, and I had my other post. So this post is technically a week late, haha.

But this was what I wore on Thanksgiving. I literally spent two hours picking out an outfit, because of course it just had to be cold on Thanksgiving, and being a native Floridian, I barely own any winter or fall clothes. I managed to pull this together, despite my lack of fall clothing.

I have my Forever 21 leggings, and these are really comfy and warm, and since leggings are pants, I wore this American Eagle loose button down tank top, that is made of a silky material. It’s long in the back so I can wear the leggings as pants. And since the shirt is very sheer I have a white tank under it. I paired this denim jacket with it because I felt it really completed the outfit and kind of tied it together. Finally, I’m wearing my HM black flats, and just to let you all know, I don’t think these flats will be going anywhere anytime soon.

Have a great rest of your week! Also, my new YouTube video is out tomorrow, so make sure to either subscribe or follow me on Twitter to know when I post it :)

How I Cleared Up My Skin!

While my skin has never been completely awful and broken out, there has been days where my skin could have been better. And obviously, I’m a teenager so my skin is going to break out because of hormones, which is completely out of my control. However, the type of products one uses, and how often they use them can definitely have an effect on how much acne someone has.

If you wash your face too often, it dries up your face, therefore causing your oil glands to produce too much oil, and if you don’t wash it often enough, all that oil is just there, along with makeup and dirt, and it builds up over time. As most people do, I wash my face morning, and night. In the morning I’m usually getting ready for school or to go somewhere so sometimes I don’t have time to do a facial mask, and all that fancy stuff. But at night, when I do have time, I have a routine that consists of four products.

Just to let you all know, I’m using all Michael Todd True Organics products, and my mom gets them for me. This post is not sponsored, however.

First, I start off with the Cleanse and Tone One Step Cleanser/Toner. This is really great for when I don’t have time for a toner, but I do still use a toner with this. I just put it on my face in a circular motion, and it’s probably the best face cleanser I have ever tried. It’s cleared up my skin so much already, just by using it alone, before I started regularly using toner and other stuff. You all should definitely try this out if you’re struggling with your acne. It’s a little expensive, but a little goes a long way, and it does wonders for your skin!

After that, I use this Blue-Green Algae Antibacterial Toner on my skin, even though the cleanser technically “tones” along with cleaning it. This is probably their most popular toner, and I can see why after using it a couple of times. It’s not their best smelling product, but I still like it. And you don’t need too much of it, so I just put some on a little cotton pad that you would use for removing nail polish, and wipe it on my face. I don’t rub it in however, just wipe it. Then I let it dry. It tingles my face a little bit, but that goes away after a minute or so. I love this toner a lot, it tightens up my pores and reduces oil, but if I don’t use a moisturizer, however, it can be a little drying.

Then, I use the Intensive Organic Eye Treatment, before my moisturizer. This is just like an eye cream that I put under my eyes, and it reduces the appearance of dark circles under my eyes, which is especially helpful in the mornings when I have to get up at 6 am for school. It takes away that tired look dark circles can give, and to help slow, possibly prevent, the process of under eye wrinkles. It’s really been working for me!

Last, but certainly not least, I use the Moisture Light Non-OilyHydrating Lotion all over my face. This brings back moisture to my face and prevents my face from being too dry after the toner. And you only need a pea size amount to get your whole entire face! It’s not too greasy and oily unlike other moisturizers I have tried.

That is the regimen I have been using to clear up my skin. Admittedly, in the mornings all I use is the cleanser and moisturizer because of time limits, and sometimes I forget the moisturizer. But at night, I try to do this whole regimen, because it’s been improving my skin so much!

Also, my last video on YouTube was about my skin care regimen, so here it is! If you have YouTube comment down below and maybe we could do sub for sub!

Hope these products can work out for you if you possibly haven’t tried them yet!

Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration

As we all know, Thanksgiving is in just TWO days! I am really excited for all the food and to get together with family I don’t get to see as often! But there is always that one question that anyone who pays a lot of attention to their fashion will ask – what do I wear? And since it’s just two days away, obviously not much time to go looking all around, considering maybe you start preparations tomorrow, or you have work or school!

Today I have three different Thanksgiving outfit inspirations that are all combinations of fall wardrobe staples that you most likely have in your wardrobe, so fear not, you will have a super cute outfit for Thanksgiving this year!

Make sure to check all these sets out on my polyvore, I actually put together a collection there, and may add a couple of others to the set.

Outfit #1 – Comfy and Cute

This outfit is perfect if you want to be comfy but still appropriate for a nicer setting, such as a nicer dinner with your family. Of course, plaid shirts are a fall must have, and this plaid shirt from American Eagle paired with your favorite skinny jeans is already super cute! But add in the flats to make the outfit a little girlier, along with this oversized cocoon cardigan that adds something to the outfit, and makes the plaid shirt pop. This outfit could be worn for any kind of Thanksgiving environment, unless you’re going to a place that is just really, really nice, obviously.

Outfit #2 – Casual Outfit

If for Thanksgiving this year you’re just chilling with your closest friends or just a little bit of your family at your house, or somewhere not as nice, this outfit is perfect. It’s very casual and laidback but you can still look super cute while wearing it. The black leggings are super comfy and a great fall wardrobe staple. Some knee high brown boots look super cute over the leggings. Normally I’m not big on combining the colors black and brown in an outfit but since the shirt is blue and adds a pop of color to the outfit, it’s okay since the color is balancing out the neutrals. An infinity scarf pulls together the outfit nicely, and adds a nice touch to it, along with a little cross body bag to match the boots. Casual, but still perfect for Thanksgiving!

Outfit #3 – Fancy Thanksgiving Dinner

So you’re going out to a nice dinner for Thanksgiving with A LOT of your family, aren’t you? Well this is the outfit for you! You could refer to outfit #1, but if you want to be a little girlier, this outfit is the one for you. Okay, maybe most people don’t actually own a leather colored skirt, but if you just wear some skater style skirt, it will still look super cute for this outfit. A cream colored sweater against this burgundyish color is just a perfect fall combination, and the booties are just so cute and really make a statement. A super cute statement necklace, that has these leaves on it, is just so appropriate for fall and pulls the outfit together.

Now do you have some outfit inspiration? Hope this post was able to help those few who have absolutely no idea what to wear for Thanksgiving! Hope you all who celebrate Thanksgiving have an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving, I know I’m going to have a great one with my family!

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream | REVIEW

I recently purchased this Maybelline BB Cream at Target last weekend after all the good things I had heard about it, whether in YouTube videos, blogposts, or articles. I thought I should give it a try because apparently it is good for school, and to get some coverage that doesn’t feel heavy like foundation. I have used it a few times and found to like it quite a bit, even though there are a few problem areas.

As you can see, even though I have to apologize for the not so good quality of these pictures, the BB cream shows some improvement with minor blemishes, lightens dark circles a little bit, fills in the pores, and evens out the skin tone, and I do like that. I do not get a full coverage, although, and it is a little drying and will come off after a few hours, and since I am at school I really don’t have time to go to the bathroom and reapply my makeup.

Before
After
I do have to touch up with a concealer on more major blemishes and dark circles, and since I’m so fair, the lightest shade is a tad bit too dark so I have to blend it out a little bit, which I shouldn’t feel I should have to do considering you’re just supposed to put it on with your fingers.

I do, however, like the SPF in it, although it is drying and the finished look is a little bit too dewy to go without powder. So I recommend if you have average to drier skin that you use a moisturizer, but if your skin is oily I don’t recommend a moisturizer.

Do I think this product is worth the hype? I think so, as long as you’re not looking for a full coverage solution. In that case, there are many different foundations out there that you can give a try. But this product gives you a light to medium coverage, because you can build the coverage a little bit.

PROS:
·         Covers minor blemishes and lightens dark circles
·         Evens skin tone
·         Reduces the appearance of pores
·         Easy to apply
·         Little bit goes a long way

CONS:
·         Only lasts a few hours
·         Drying for dry skin
·         Doesn’t give a full coverage
·         Dewy finish is a little bit too shiny

Those cons are easy to overcome, gladly, just use a finishing powder, reapply, and use a moisturizer and concealer. I do recommend this product and would give an 8.5/10 rating.

Have a good weekend! Make sure to check out my last post if you haven’t already! Also, I'm posting my second YouTube video in a little bit so please make sure to follow my Twitter to know when I posted it!

Cute Outfit Ideas for Fall

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I had an early out from school so I had a nice relaxing afternoon.

Today I have for you some really cute fall outfits for the winter season!

But before I talk about that, I have an announcement.

I have started a YouTube channel! I thought it would be a lot of fun to do, and I have already posted my first YouTube video! I’ll post it down below the rest of this post because it actually goes with this post. I would love for you all to subscribe and maybe leave a comment so I can subscribe back.

Here are the cute fall outfits I have come up with.

Outfit Number 1

This outfit is definitely for those warmer fall days, when it somehow warms up and gets into the 70’s. Of course, you can replace the knee high socks for some super cute tights to go with this outfit. Since I felt it was kind of plain, I dressed up the outfit with a necklace to really pull it together. And I felt that the Converse were a nice contrast to the dressier aspect of the outfit, and besides, one can never go wrong with a pair of Converse. I have this Forever 21 skirt for a girly look, and a Target long sleeved shirt.

Outfit Number 2

This outfit is definitely for a cooler day. I love how I have the neutral colors with the pop of the colored jeans. Since the jeans aren’t denim, I paired my denim jacket to add a nice contrast with the jeans, and to pull the outfit together. And I also wore this grey shirt from Aeropostale with “HOPE WISH WANT” on it because I think it looked nice with the outfit and I didn’t really have a solid color or printed shirt that would go with this that would look nice. I completed it with some flats, but I really think a pair of ankle boots with a chunky heel would look much better with this outfit, but I don’t own a pair of those.

Outfit Number 3

This one is probably my least favorite of the three, but it’s still super cute. It’s kind of a comfier outfit, with the leggings and the soft cardigan. Since wearing leggings as pants without something longer to cover your butt doesn’t look right (I’ve made the mistake of wearing leggings as pants and won’t ever do it again) so I wore this crop top with a longer Hollister sweater. I think it’s cute and well put together but very comfy.

That’s it for this post, but down below I will put the YouTube video that goes with this post. It’s almost the same but the video has some close ups and I talk about it in a different way a little bit more. It’s not that great of a video but it’s my first one so it will get better over time. However I did film the second one today so make sure to go check it out when I post on Friday!

Have a good rest of your week everyone!

Fabulous Fall Trends

Hey everyone, I’m back! I would make up a bunch of excuses for my absence, but reality is, I was busy and was a little bit too lazy to do anything when I had the time.

As we all know it is fall time, a wonderful time for me, because instead of 85 degree weather in Florida, it is now around 75 degrees! Now I don’t sweat right when I step outside.

And of course with fall, comes new fall trends. Things like plaid, animal print, booties, sweaters and faux fur, but to be perfectly honest, I am not big on plaid, animal print or faux fur. I do love comfy sweaters and booties, although I personally do not own a pair of booties. But I have tried on some pairs of booties and absolutely loved them!

We had a cold front the other day, so I definitely took advantage of it. It's now back to the 80's though. My favorite thing to do is wear a big sweater with either leggings or skinny jeans, and add flats to the outfit. If I had a pair of booties I would wear them, though.

Some places I really recommend for looking for sweaters would definitely be American Eagle. I saw these super cute scoop neck sweaters there, and they had all sorts of colors, royal blue, turquoise, gray, black, burgundy, and many more. And right now, sweaters are currently 30% off, with an additional code at checkout for another 20% off. (and free shipping!!) I might just have to go get some of those for myself!

As of booties, I wouldn’t really know, but I saw the cutest pair at Rack Room for about fifty bucks! I didn’t have money on me at the time, which was sad, but I am planning on purchasing them soon.

Just thought I would share with you all my favorite fall trends as of now. And here’s a couple of pictures of how I style my sweaters. This is a sweater I got from Aeropostale last year so it’s obviously not in stock anymore, but I accidentally got a medium instead of a small, however, I ended up liking how it was a little big. I just wore my black H&M flats and my Forever 21 black leggings along with it!

Have a great week, and a great Veteran’s Day tomorrow, for my American followers!

Where to Find Inspiration For Your Blog and Videos

We have all had those days where we haven’t posted a new blog post or YouTube video in about a week or so, but we need to provide new content to our viewers. The main problem, though, is we have absolutely no idea what to write about! I have definitely had those days, and if you have, you know how horrible writer’s block is.

There are many places and sources that I get inspiration from, and for all you who need some inspiration, I thought I would share where I get my inspiration from with you all.

1.       Other Blogs

To be perfectly honest, sometimes when I have lack of inspiration or ideas, I just go check out other blogs and look around on them a little bit to see if I can come up with some ideas based on their posts or do a post they did a little differently. I love to read all your blogs, see what kind of posts you post, what type of outfits you where, and things like that. If I see a blogpost on someone else’s blog, I might recreate it in my own way.

2.       Magazines

Magazines are always keeping up with the latest trends and fashion news, so maybe you can head over to your local bookstore and take a peek at the latest issues of Seventeen, Vogue, Teen Vogue, or any of those other fashion magazines. They have the latest in fashion news, so you could write about the newest trends, or share your opinion on the fashion from a certain awards show. The possibilities are endless!

3.       YouTube Videos

You know where I have gotten a lot of inspiration lately? Watching YouTube videos. I’ll watch haul videos, outfit ideas, make up ideas, diys, all sorts of videos! These will give me ideas for new outfits, and different ways to recreate some of their ideas to make it my own. Sometimes I will watch little known YouTubers I find through Twitter, but my favorite famous YouTubers are definitely Bethany Mota, Ingrid Nilsen, Promise and Michelle Phan, and a few others. You should go check them out! Or use some hashtags on Twitter to find some starting out YouTubers, watch their videos, and tell them what you think. A nice comment on someone’s video will always make one’s day. Maybe you liked how they put together that certain outfit, or really liked that product they reviewed, or loved how their take on a certain fashion trend.

4.       Fashion Websites

Websites such as elle.com, style.com, fashionspot.com, will always give the latest news on fashion trends, and you can actually sign up for subscriptions so you’re alerted every time there’s a new article! You don’t have to do this because it can really spam your inbox, but these sites are definitely worth a check out! There’s always new posts about fashion trends, so you can take information from their page to write your own articles about newest trends!

5.       Other People

I go to the mall every so often, and one thing I love to do is see what other people at the mall are wearing. Most of the time nothing really catches my eye, but sometimes I see someone’s outfit, and I think “I love how they styled that skirt” or “I love how they put together that outfit!” But I just don’t do that at the mall. Anywhere I go, I look at what people wear, because one of the first things I notice about people is what they are wearing. And if I really like what someone is wearing, or how they styled something, I make a note of it. I think, I could make an outfit post with that new shirt I got, but I could style it like that because it would definitely look better like that. So you could go out, see what other people wear, and base an outfit on it, or put together your clothes in a way you didn’t think of before!

6.   Social Media

There's hashtags for a reason! Go check out fashion hashtags on Instagram such as #fbloggers, #bbloggers, #ootd, #diy and things like that! Same on Twitter! You can discover tons of bloggers and see what kind of pictures they post, giving you a little preview of their style. This can help you come up with new outfit ideas, or maybe you'll see a preview of one of their posts. Pinterest and Polyvore are great too, because you can look through different diys, ootds, clothes in general and make up. On Polyvore you can make sets of outfits and make up, and look at other sets for inspiration.

Now are you inspired? Suddenly got a ton of ideas swirling in your head and grabbing those fashion magazines? Going to take a look at YouTube or those websites? Hope you get some great inspiration!
I really hope this post helped anyone out who was having writer’s block, or just didn’t know what to blog about! Writing this post even inspired me to go check out those sources and think about new posts!

Where do you get your inspiration?

Makeup Products To Try

There are many awesome make up brands out there, and there are brands where all the make up has 2 star ratings. Sadly enough, most of the really good brands are very expensive, but it may be worth the while in the long run.

I have been doing much research on makeup, including concealers, blush, eyeshadow, and things like that. Some of these products, I may not be able to afford, or just are not able to get them at the moment.

Since I read good things about these products, thought I would share them with you so maybe you could check them out, give them a try, and see if you like them yourself. Also, if you have used any of these products, I would like some feedback on them, if you liked them or not.

1.       Bobbi Brown Corrector

Someone on Twitter actually recommended this, and I thought it was worth a look up. Turns out, it has very high reviews, and has gotten lots of great feedback! Apparently it is absolutely fantastic for covering under eye circles, which is definitely one of my main problems. And I know lots of people struggle with this also. I was sold on this concealer, and then I saw it was $25 for a half an ounce container. I wasn’t sure if it was worth the risk, but if I ever find myself with some coupons or a little extra money, I’ll definitely pick this up! And I think you all should try it out because I have heard such good things about it.

If any of you have heard of Ingrid who is also known as missglamorazzi on YouTube, just saying, I love her videos. And she uses this concealer in almost all her make up tutorial videos, and it looks like it works so well for her! I’m not sure if it would work as well for me, but it seems to do a good job for her. That led me to look it up, seeing it had very high reviews, but that the only problem was the high price and how fast they would use it up. Because of this, I wasn’t sure if I should invest in it. One day, I do want to try it maybe at a store in the mall, and if I like it, buy it.

I am not one for huge eyeshadow palettes, or anything like that, because I do not wear a lot of eyeshadow. But I have seen the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, and they get many high reviews from everyone who uses them. The Naked Palettes have too much for me, but when I saw the Basics Palette, I knew it was for me, because it has six shades, which is probably all I need. I was thinking of ordering, but decided to hold off. It’s around 20 something dollars, but if you’re looking for a simple eyeshadow palette, give it a try!

I read somewhere that white eyeliner is perfect for brightening your eyes, just put it on your lower waterline and you look more awake. I have wanted to get some white eyeliner and test that theory, because I get up very early most mornings, so I definitely need this to help me look more awake! I could get any old eyeliner, but Mac is a very good company, and their makeup is very good and long lasting, in my opinion.

I saw this lipgloss in the store in the most beautiful pink shade, and I am already in love. I am not sure about the actual quality of it, but I definitely want to try it! I like how it is a gloss with some color with it! I think you all should try it, there are many shades, but I find Whipped Berry is the one I want to try for sure!

That was just a few makeup products I’m hoping to try in the future, and hopefully write reviews on for you all! You all should definitely go try these, and let me know what you think!

What are some makeup products you want to try?
