NYX Butter Lipsticks: Review and Swatches

One product I have really been loving lately are the NYX Butter Lipsticks. These are so great! Wide variation of colors, only $5, and the formula is super creamy and pigmented! They are pretty much everything you would ask for in a lipstick. I currently only have three of the colors, but I most definitely plan on picking up more of them.

The three shades I own are Pops, Little Susie, and Candy Buttons. (from left to right in the top picture) Little Susie was actually from an Ipsy bag a couple of months ago, but believe or not, I wanted to pick up that shade even before it was in my ipsy bag. Little Susie is a deeper pink, sort of a fuchsia, but not exactly a fuchsia. It also has yellow undertones in it, so it is definitely a warmer lipstick. Candy Buttons is just a pretty peachy pink, nothing all too special. It's a little more on the cooler side, however. Pops is a great 'your lips but better' color, it's a pinky mauve color.  It is apparently a dupe for Nars Audacious Lipstick in 'Anita'. It's a little pinker than Nars Anita, based on the side by side swatches of the two shades, however.. But overall, I think it's a very flattering color for a variety of skintones.

Swatches in natural sunlight, Little Susie, Candy Buttons, and Pops

Overall, I would highly recommend these lipsticks. They are very pigmented, have a wear time of about 3 - 4 hours or so, but leave a pretty stain as they fade throughout the day.

I don't think I can really say anything bad about them. you can easily store them right side up or upside down, since they're not the bullet shape of MAC lipsticks, so you can easily see the colors if you store them upside down. I know some people don't like how the MAC bullet shape lipsticks store, so you won't have that problem with this one.

Comment down below if you have tried these lovely lipsticks, and if you have, let me know some of your favorite shades so I can pick up more!

Summer Makeup Tutorial: Colorful and Simple

I have another makeup tutorial posted on my YouTube channel, and I'm going to be sharing some additional close up pictures and all products used, listed with budget friendly options.

I wanted to do something simple for the summer time, something colorful and fun! This look can be a bit risky, but anyone can rock it!

I cannot confirm the products as absolute dupes, but based on swatches, they look very similar.

Products Used.
MAC Paint Pot: Rubenesque
- Lt. Bronze Lorac Pro Palette
- Bare Minerals Sundance Prime Time Primer Shadow
(this is a very unique product, but I did my best. I can say it's not an absolutely necessary product, it just intensifies the eyeshadow)
MAC Eyeshadow: All That Glitters
   - Milani Bella Champagne
- Makeup Geek: In the Spotlight
MAC Eyeshadow: Soft Brown
- Makeup Geek Frappe
- UD Buck
MAC Technakohl Eyeliner: Photogravure
- NYX Slide on Eye Pencil Brown Perfection
Ulta Gel Eyeliner Pencil: Aqua
Lorac Pro Palette: Espresso
- Morphe Deep Cocoa
Benefit They're Real Mascara
Naked Lipgloss: Sesso
- Revlon Pinkissimo

I couldn't really find exact dupes for some of the products, but I tried my best to research swatches online, and to find close budget friendly options for the high end products.

I hope you enjoy the video! If you want to check out more of my videos, you can find them here.
